Wow, I really suck at this! Here's a quick update. So, being unemployed isn't so bad, especially when you have so much time to write. Alas, I can't say I'm unemployed any longer. I start a job tomorrow, which I'm happy about.

Yeah, I had a lot of free time but no real money coming in. My savings are pretty much gone now. I tried selling stuff in my Etsy shop, but like my lj posts I suck at posting items and advertising, too. I did sell one thing which is good. I'm going to keep trying, though. I just need to put more items on there.

What else is new? I'm going for nanowrimo again. I first tried it back in 2006 and stopped half way through. This time I won't stop. Even if I complain about not coming up with anything. I won't let myself stop.

Someone remind me I said that in about a couple weeks? Thanks, ha, ha, ha. :)

Okay, I finally finished the one side of the scarf. Whew! Shouldn't have taken so long, but my hand started hurting part of the way through and I stopped knitting for a bit. Hopefully, I can get most of the second side done today. I plan on knitting most of the day. Hopefully I can take it on the plane and then I can work on it at the airport and Wed. night...hopefully. I have to call the airport and see if I can. The website says I can but just to make sure. I may not though just because if they say I can I don't to meet up with someone at security saying that was the wrong information. I don't trust them. :)

I'm trying to plan ahead. I'm going to try to go to Terminus and Portus. I figured a year would be enough time for planning, lol.

DragonCon is in August and is a regular Sci-Fi convention. The Phelps twins and Matt Lewis will be there. Also, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, and Robert Picardo from Star Trek will be there. Plus a ton of others. I know! I'm such a geek, and proud of it, lol. Anyway, I'm going to try to go to that, too, but probably won't be able too. We'll see.

The third pic is my attempt at a Streeler. It's kinda hard to see, lol.

I was thinking of doing an illusion (or shadow) knit scarf for PR. One side would say Phoenix Rising and the other side would say Pontalbòn. I put attempt because I'm not sure it'll be finished by May, and this is the first time I'm creating a graph myself. I'm crossing my fingers. This is how Wikipedia explains illusion (or shadow) knitting for anyone who wants to know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_knitting. I first learned about it watching Knitty Gritty on the DIY channel. I'm alternating between turquoise and off-white. I hope it comes out okay. I have pics of another one I'm working on now, but I don't know how to use LJ, lol. I'll post them another day.

I have only written a little over 25,000 words. I have six days left. Less than a week. It is possible, but my motivation is gone and I don't feel like writing the crap I think up. :(

I like the story a lot, I'm just thinking about it too much. Thinking about it makes me think, "Oh, that sucks. I don't want to write that."

I'll probably finish somewhere between 30,000 and 35,000. I think that's really good for a first timer.

Don't get me wrong I'm not giving up. I'm going to still write. I just need to sit and not think and just type. Maybe on Saturday and Sunday. Hmmm.....

I wrote everyday including Nov.17th, but, for some reason the Nano counter said I did a couple thousand words less on the 17th. The word count is correct just not for that day. It shoots down and then comes back up where it's supposed to be on the 18th.

I never deleted anything. I wonder why it did that. *shrug*

Last night I was watching Las Vegas. I could have sworn Mary made a reference about The Office. She said something like, "We're expecting a group from Dunder Miflin. We need to hire more security guards." It was just a passing thought and had nothing to do with the scene. I know I heard Dunder Miflin, though.

You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer

Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from. And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi. Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics... Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!

That makes sense. Glad I'm writing Sci Fi for Nano. Still procrastinationg, though, hehe.

Okay, I've decided to name my chapters. I wasn't going to, but for me, it's seems easier to write with them. My problem right now is getting to the plot. I'm writing around it and losing steam quick. I'm going to try to do an outline and see what I get. I gotta tell you, these characters have a mind of their own. A relationship sprouted out of nowhere and I'm going with it. Let's see where it goes. Actually the two character's are exes so they don't talk much anymore, lol.

I'm still behind on word count but hopefully I'll catch up.

I have a little over two days left until I begin. I have no plot, no outline and only one character (without a name). I do have a setting and I know it's going to be about time travel. Maybe I'll just make it up as I go along.
